The ECO range is made of a bioplastic formed from polymers found in wheat, called lignin. The resultant bioplastic is workable, with similar properties to typical plastic - but without the use of any artificial chemicals or fossil fuels.

Our new Accuratus ECO RANGE is made using wheat grass polymer which is a bio plastic...

Wheat is a cereal harvested for flour however only the ear of the wheat is used in flour, the remaining product is straw which has very little nutritional value and used in animal bedding, thatching etc. The straw is often burnt after the wheat is harvested.

The straw naturally stands upright as the stem contains lignin which is an organic polymer and provides the support structure for many plants. It is this lignin which is used to make our wheatgrass polymer keyboards, mice, speakers, earphones etc. Lignin is broken down by bacteria and mixed with natural sugars to create a workable material which has a lot of the features of plastic without the added artificial chemicals and without using fossil fuels.
