Cleversafe's dsNet® Object Storage Software for HP ProLiant Servers delivers an object storage solution using erasure coding technologies to protect data at any scale without the need for costly copies. Erasure coding is a method of data protection where data is broken into slices, expanded and encoded to achieve a specified level of redundancy. The data slices can be encrypted to meet security requirements and are distributed across separate storage nodes. Cleversafe’s dsNet system is a collection of Slicestor devices, Accesser devices and dsNet Managers. Object storage is configured on the dsNet Manager where performance and health can be monitored via graphs. Accesser appliances service data requests from client systems, and data “slices” reside on Slicestor storage nodes. Cleversafe’s dsNet system with HP servers create the core of a next-gen object storage solution.

The process of adding storage and servers is simple and non-disruptive to the object store, allowing the current storage capacity to be expanded as needs arise – no forklift upgrades.
